Well, here’s that open mic night I did. It was borne from an Installation + Performance project, but I think I’d like to keep dabbling in it. It was my first time ever and I was terrified (you can’t tell in the video but my legs were buckling uncontrollably) but I had a lot of fun.
I hope that the fact that I am not funny will not make you hate me forever.

No you liar, that was kinda hilarious.
Please do it again sometime.

You did an alright job. I could certainly tell that you were nervous, and so for next time maybe get rid of a lot of your “ums and “uhs”, and I’m sure as you become more familiar with your material you’ll look at the notecards less. Or, alternatively, you could always just incorporate it all into your act, in which case you need to make it more concentrated. There’s some advice from a guy who every now and then thinks he might do something maybe like a stand up routine, why not?

That was fantastic. “‘Cause, see, I go to art school” – priceless. Kudos and congratulations for having the nerve to do this and yes, you should consider doing it again sometime.

Myomy, that was funny. You had me laughing around 80% of the time, which is considerably more than most comedians on CC, though that is saying little.
IWANTMORE.
