Joshua Duncan: Time Traveler

18 June, 2009

Well here is this movie I made. I’m real proud of it. I wrote it and then co-directed it with man of the year Ned Hurley, who shot it. We used 16mm film and Peter Steineck made the end titles.

To watch it please go here, I am having trouble embedding. Hmm.

This was fantastic. Great Franta performance and foley. Do I smell a feature??

  2. Fantastic! I certainly can see the “sitcom-ic” elements that, as I have read, have been influencing your work. Good job. I enjoyed it.

Nicely done! Waaay better than anything that came out of my 16mm class, probably at least in part because you appear to have actually cared about the sound mix, for some reason.

One thing: you’ve got such a sweet title card, and then you plop it up on a white background? Solid white? Every video engineer’s nightmare? You should have picked another color backdrop, or better yet, cut a matte and superimposed it over footage.

And I second Toby. This is definitely an origin story for a feature or a miniseries.
